Hvis du oplever internet issues så følger der her er par tips du selv kan gøre eller checke, før du kontakter Fibia. Ejerforeningen er ikke i stand til at yde assistance, men henviser til Fibia og/eller manualen for din router.
Nogen af disse tips vil være ret tekniske, så du må selv afgøre hvilke der passer til din situation og dit erfarings niveau.
Der er en række ting der kan ødelægge kvaliteten af internet forbindelsen:
Selve den hastighed der leveres i fiber forbindelsen
Routeren (den Fibia har leveret eller evt. din egen)
Kvalitet af kabel eller WiFi til device/pc/smartphone.
Den lovede hastighed er såvidt jeg ved også i branchen minus et vist overhead (6-10%), sammenholdt med foregående, så regn altid med lidt mindre end lovet, men se videre 😊

Husk, det du tester er fiberforbindelsen, igennem dit modem/router, via WiFi og din device' evne til at modtage data! Alle delene har en negativ indflydelse på resultatet, aldrig en positiv indflydelse 🤔
Well, så kommer den målte hastighed også an på hvor travlt hastighedstest stedet har, men især hvor meget andet der bruger internet hjemme hos dig lige nu 🙏
Ok, det var disclaimeren 😊
Det du kan gøre, er at sikre at du har den bedst mulige forbindelse, jvnf. ovenstående, d.v.s. din forståelse af de forskellige elementers indflydelse, at du bruger den "korteste" vej, men i den sidste ende er det reelt et spørgsmål om at optimere din WiFi forbindelse fra routeren til din device *simple as that*
De ting der har indflydelse på hvor meget signal du får igennem din WiFi forbindelse er:
1) Hvor mange personer/devices der bruger din WiFi forbindelse
2) Placeringen af din router og din device
3) Hvor god din forbindelse er
(4) (og så er det også et spørgsmål om hvilken WiFi specifikation dit udstyr understøtter)
1) Her er der ikke så meget at gøre, I er jo de mennesker og devices som I har brug for, men I kan sikre at I har afstemt den forbindelses hastighed I har købt af Fibia med jeres behov. D.v.s. med hvor mange I er, hvor meget I streamer etc. Hvert TV der streamer tage ca. 30-40 Mb. Men her er det i det hele taget som at sælge elastik i metermål 😊
2) Beton er WiFi's fjende #1 !! Og beton har vi meget af her i huset. Hvis din router kan flyttes uden at ændre på fiber forbindelsen, så sørg for at den sidder så højt som muligt, så centralt som muligt og at den ikke er "pakket ind" i en masse fordi "den ser grim ud"!! Ja, jeg ved det godt, det er pest eller kolera 😊
Teknisk set, er der også muligheden for at installere en "repeater", som er en ekstra boks, så man får fordelt WiFi signalet længere ud. Det er for teknisk for denne guide og nok kun relevant for de største af lejlighederne.
3) Det er ikke kun et spørgsmål om at finde den bedste placering for router og device, men lige så meget et spørgsmål om hvor meget "traffik" der er der hvor man er. Her mener jeg ikke ikke så meget den traffik som du selv og din familie generere (se under 1)), men mere al den traffik som dine naboer generere!!!
Al det "der Wifi", det flyver jo igennem luften som radiobølger og der kan kun være een på hver frekvens/kanal ad gangen (ellers opstår der forstyrrelser, som sænker din hastighed)
På nedenstående graf kan du se en hel masse forskellige WiFi netvæk som kæmper om de samme (3) frekvenser. På frekvenserne omkring kanal 42 er der 4-5 netværk som er næsten lige kraftige. Det er klart at de forstyrrer hinanden. Shania-5G ligger der imod for sig selv, med en høj styrke. Det er sådan du ønsker at det skal være!!!
Den lille grønne pukkel omkring kanal 36 er heller ikke helt værst.

Denne graf er hentet med en app (iPhone og Android) der hedder Wifi Analyzer (der findes mange flere), som kan give dig et godt billede af hvordan "luften" omkring dig ser ud. Det er god viden.
Når du har den viden, så kan de teknisk interesserede gå ind i Fibia' eller deres egen WiFi router og ændre på hvilken kanal som netop dit netværk ligge på. Det kan give ret store forskelle i oplevet internet hastighed!!!
Til sidst, som en overgang imellem 3) og 4) skal det også nævnes at der findes 2 WiFi frekvensområder (bånd), (men udviklingen står ikke stille), nemlig 2,4 GHz (IEEE 802.11g/b) og 5 GHz (IEEE 802.11a/ac/n).
Der er generelt MEGET mere ro og plads på 5 GHz end på det "gamle" 2,4 GHz bånd, så er der mulighed for det, så flyt til 5 GHz, så vil du se meget færre forstyrrelser. Men det kræver at din router og at dine devices understøtter disse bånd!!!
Som lovet, så blev det her meget hurtigt ret teknisk, sorry, men sådan er det der "IT noget" bare 😊
Please find following a few tips, if you are experiencing internet issues, to read before you contact Fibia. The Owners Association are not in a position to offer technical assistance and refers to Fibia Customer Service and/or the manual for your router.
Some of the tips will be rather technical by nature, thus please asses yourself if these applies to your situation and skill level.
There are a number of issues which are prone to be detrimental to the quality of the internet connection:
The actual speed which is delivered into the fiber connection
The router (delivered by Fibia or your own)
Cable quality and WiFi quality
As far as I recall it is still Industry standard to quote a speed including a technical overhead (6-10%). Remembering the above, please do expect a slightly lower perceived speed than quoted speed, but keep on reading 😊

Please do keep in mind that what you will be testing is your fiber connection, through your moden/router, via WiFi og your devices ability to receive data! All of the above will have a detrimental effect on the result, NEVER the opposite 🤔
Well, on top of that you will have to add how busy the internet testing site is, but more importantly what else are consuming internet bandwidth at your place right now 🙏

What you need to do is to ensure that you have the best possible connection, in liu of the above, that includes your own understanding of the elements going into the equation, to ensure you use the "path of least resistance". But all in all it mostly comes down to optimising the path from your routers WiFi connection to your device *simple as that*
There are a number of elements having an impact on how much you can "push through" your WiFi connection:
1) How many are using your WiFi connection
2) Position of your router relative to your device
3) How good aka the quality of the WiFi connection
(4) (well, there is also a question of the WiFi specification your equipment is able to support)
1) Possible not too much to do here! You probably have the devices that you require. Best suggestion is to balance the bandwidth requirements with what you have agreed with Fibia to have. I.e. how many simultaneous devices, how much you stream TV etc. On a general note expect a TV to require 30-40 Mb. This is not an exact science! 😊
2) Concrete walls are WiFi' enemy #1!! And boy, we have got a lot of concrete walls! You you can re-position your router without impacting your fiber connection, you may want to ensure that it's positioned as high and as central in the apartment as possible and making sure you haven't "wrapped it" in a lot of stuff, just because it by nature "is ugly"!!. Ok, ok, I know, it's like being between a rock and a hard place 😊
Technically, you have the option to install a "repeater", which is an extra box which will assist to distribute the WiFi signal even further on. This is however too technical for this guide and probably only relevant for the larger apartments.
3) It is not only a question of finding the best position for router and device, but equally a question of how much "traffic" there are in your area. By this I do not refer to how much traffic you and your family creates (for this see 1)), but specifically the traffic that your neighbours generates!!!
All this "WiFi stuff" flies through the air as radio waves, and only one can occupy a given frequency/channel at any one time (otherwise disturbances will occur, which will have a detrimental effect on your throughput/speed)
At the picture below you can see a number of WiFi networks competing om the same (3) frequencies. At the frequencies around channel 42 you can see 4-5 networks at mostly the same strength. It is obvious that they create disturbances to each other. On the contrary Shania-5G is in a sweet spot, with a high strength. This is how you want your network to be!!! The small green hump at channel 36 is not too bad either.

The graph is taken from an app (iPhone and Android) called WiFi Analyzer (but many more exists), which are good at visualising what's in the "air" around you. Good knowledge.
Having obtained this knowledge, the technical adapt can access Fibia' or their own WiFi router and change which channel your network will transmit at. This can actually make a significant change to the perceived internet speed!!!
As a transition between 3) and 4) it is worthwhile noting that there exists 2 WiFi frequency ranges (bands) (this is an ever ongoing evolution), 2.4 GHz (IEEE 802.11g/b) and 5 GHz (IEEE 802.11a/ac/n).
You may expect much more "space" and less disturbances at 5 GHz compared to the "old" 2.4 GHz. I.e. if at all possible, move to 5 GHz to see fever disturbances. However that requires that you router and devices supports these bands!!!
